The surprisingly remote Styal, sandwiched between Wilmslow and the airport, is a village with easy access to woodlands and the historic Quarry Bank Mill.

Broadbottom is a sleepy village with old mills, excellent viaducts, Roman fort remains, and a mix of paved and rugged paths that access breathtaking views.

Bromley Cross offers a mixture of reservoirs and moors. A peaceful escape with plenty of opportunities for both rolling hills and local history.

The quaint town of Littleborough features Hollingworth Lake, rolling moors and lovely cafes. You'd be hard pressed not to have a great time.

Disley is prime greenspace with plenty of footpaths, cafes and restaurants straight from the station. National Trust's Lyme Park is located 30 mins away.

Entwistle is a small village, with one great pub and many, many great walks. Nested between reservoirs and moorland, it's a hidden gem of the West Pennines.

A gorgeous country park within Stockport. Explore wide meadows, ponds and vast meadows along the River Tame.

Worsley hides rich heritage amongst its luscious woodland and canalside walks. It offers a breath of tranquillity, somehow hidden from the bustle of the city.

Edale is a quaint village in the Hope Valley. The ideal place to explore the Peak District with 2 great pubs at the end.

An old mill village that remains somewhat off the beaten track. Sat next to the River Irwell, you can find an old stream train in use, river walks and history.
