Reddish Vale Country Park, located in Manchester, is a tranquil retreat offering visitors a chance to escape the urban hustle and immerse themselves in nature. Spanning over 161 hectares, this picturesque park boasts a variety of landscapes including woodlands, wetlands, meadows, and the serene River Tame. It’s an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts, bird watchers, and families looking for a peaceful day out.
Served by Manchester Piccadilly, Reddish Vale County Park is only 20 minutes from the centre. Be careful to note, though, that the closest station is Brinnington (BNT). This station is surrounded by the Park, and you can walk in almost any direction and end up in the middle of it.
Several bus routes reach Reddish Vale. From the centre, the 203 runs from Piccadilly. It leaves you a 15-minute walk from most of the walks in the area.
Driving there is, one of the easiest ways. The visitor centre at Mill Lane has a car park. This is the main one. There are two others, one on Tiviot Way and one off Woodhall Drive.
