Here is every route I have ever done. Unfortunately, I haven't yet built in filtering, I'm working on it.

Ancoats Marina and Locks

Distance: 2.1km

Starting at: Manchester City Centre

A short walk round the new developments along the canals of Islington and Ancoats. Very nice on a sunny day.

Old Warke Dam

Distance: 2.5km

Starting at: Worsley

A beautiful walk around woodlands and the historical Old Warke Dam. With plenty of birdlife and sculptures offering plenty of peaceful moments for tranquility.

Quarry Bank Woodland Walk

Distance: 2.54km

Starting at: Styal

Lovely walk through the woodlands around Quarry Bank Mill. An easy stroll with beautiful brick buildings and garden.

Ample Wool Amble

Distance: 4.4km

Starting at: Worsley

Circling Kempnough Brook, a converted railway and an Earl's hunting lodge add historical charm to the stream carving through forest past a local cricket club.

Lyme Park Dash

Distance: 5.5km

Starting at: Disley

The quick saunter to Lyme Park. For those who just want to get to Lyme Park without using the roads. An easy path with a chance of seeing deer near The Cage.

Throstle Nest Loop

Distance: 5.5km

Starting at: Manchester City Centre

A gentle walk along Bridgewater Canal and the Irwell from Castlefield. See Manchester's industrial past right in front of you, watched over by swans.

Bridge Over Untroubled Waters

Distance: 5.5km

Starting at: Worsley

A leafy, pleasant walk alongside Bridgewater Canal. Take a gulp of fresh air, spot herons and swans, and learn a little about Worsley's industrial heritage.

Giants Bridge Loop

Distance: 7.6km

Starting at: Styal

A long stroll through the woodlands around Quarry Bank Mill. Following the Bollin river, take in beautiful brick buildings, old woodlands and the airport.

Mam Tor and The Broken Road

Distance: 8km

Starting at: Edale

A moderately difficult walk with steep ascents rewarding you with breathtaking views over the Hope Valley and the surreal area of The Broken Road.

Towers and 'Voirs

Distance: 9km

Starting at: Entwistle

Passing the gorgeous Jumbles and Entwistle reservoirs, Turton Tower and Winter Hill, this route takes in a lot of everything that makes hiking great fun.

FOUR! Beware Golf Balls

Distance: 9km

Starting at: Worsley

Worsley, the heart of the industrial revolution. See rejuvenated train lines, walk the golf course gauntlet, and absorb the serenity of Bridgewater Canal.

Turton Tower

Distance: 9.7km

Starting at: Bromley Cross

Reservoirs, a tudor mansion, views over Winter Hill. Everything the old mill towns can offer! An easy going walk, with a cafe serving great cakes half way.

Unity Mill Loop

Distance: 10.25km

Starting at: Reddish Vale

Take in Reddish Vale's viaduct, and walk through meadows to the Amazing Oak and a waterfall. Visit the abandoned Unity Mill, an UrbEx site with spooky vibes.

Broadbottom Jeans, Boots with the Fur

Distance: 10.5km

Starting at: Broadbottom

A varied route, that traverses forested brook, moorland hills, and old railway lines. A great walk for novices wanting more challenge and some great vistas.

Hollingwood Lake - Close and Far

Distance: 10.72km

Starting at: Littleborough

A lovely route with a bit of everything. Walk up babbling brooks and over moors, past a reservoir and canal. Take in views of Rochdale and meet some cows.

Agüerooo! The Green Hat-Trick

Distance: 11km

Starting at: Manchester City Centre

Phillips Park, Clayton Vale and Mayfield Park provide three unique green spaces with the Etihad Stadium and Ashton Canal add a smattering of local history.

Lyme Park Estate

Distance: 11.79km

Starting at: Disley

A long wander into the moors, through woods, and past a reservoir. Take in views of rolling landscapes, try to spot deer and see the majestic Lyme Hall.

The Black Gold Highway

Distance: 12.5km

Starting at: Worsley

Bridgewater canal once connected Worsley coal mines and Castlefield's industry. Now, the canal charts a course through woods, farms, industry and history.

Peak Forest Canal Loop
